Comparative studies on molecular techniques for detecting Rickettsia tsutsugamushi in Leptotrombidium deliense and mice
In order to establish the most sensitive and specific method in the detection of Rickettsia tsutsugamushi in Leptotrombidium deliense , mice and patients, a comparative study on DNA extraction, PCR, hybridization and PCR-hybridization was conducted. The results showed that the sensitivity of PCR-hybridization was 10 times higher than that of PCR and 1000 times higher than that of hybridization....

متن کاملResearch Progress on Aging Mechanisms
Aging refers to a gradual process of functional and organic recession with the age increased after the organism maturing. Many researchers have tried to elucidate aging mechanism which includes the free radical theory: free radicals can become lipofuscin and cause the mutations of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), and the damage of the nuclear DNA. From the view of heredity, aging is the results of th...
متن کاملResearch Progress on Vertebrobasilar Dolichoectasia
Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia (VBD) is a rare disease characterized by significant expansion, elongation, and tortuosity of the vertebrobasilar arteries. Current data regarding VBD are very limited. Here we systematically review VBD incidence, etiology, characteristics, clinical manifestations, treatment strategies, and prognosis. The exact incidence rate of VBD remains unclear, but is estimat...
متن کاملResearch and progress on ClC-2
Chloride channel 2 (ClC-2) is one of the nine mammalian members of the ClC family. The present review discusses the molecular properties of ClC‑2, including CLCN2, ClC‑2 promoter and the structural properties of ClC‑2 protein; physiological properties; functional properties, including the regulation of cell volume. The effects of ClC‑2 on the digestive, respiratory, circulatory, nervous and opt...
